Marie "Eileen" (Deitner) Lincoln

North Port, FL, Marie “Eileen” (Deitner) Lincoln, 87 of North Port FL, passed away in her sleep on December 29, 2019 in Port Charlotte, FL. Eileen was born in Holyoke, MA in 1932, daughter of Benjamin Joseph Deitner and Brigid Mary Doyle. She grew up in Belchertown and Springfield MA. She graduated from Sacred Heart High School, following with a teaching degree from Our Lady of the Elms College, Chicopee, MA. In her professional life she was a schoolteacher for over 40 years, teaching all over the country, Springfield, MA, Carmel, CA, Delaware, OH and Swampscott, MA. She really enjoyed her time with the students. Eileen was the mother of seven children, the first 5 being boys. Michael was the first, born in Massachusetts. Danny and Timmy were born in California where the family moved when her husband Charlie enlisted in the Army. Bryan followed after the growing family moved to New York. Patrick, Kathy and Chrissy were born in Ohio where the family lived for 10 years. This was followed by residences in Illinois, back to Massachusetts and final a retirement home in North Port Florida. Besides her parents, Eileen was preceded in death by her former husband Arthur Charles (2018), two sisters Margot Sullivan and Connie Benson, and her third son Bryan Lincoln. She leaves behind one brother, Thomas Deitner, six children, Michael Lincoln, MA, Danny Lincoln and wife Karen, Lake Villa, IL, their children Katie Lincoln Dollar, Matt Lincoln, Sarah Lincoln Sprenzel, great-grand-children Elliana and Bradon Sprenzel; Timmy Lincoln and his wife Laura Mudd of Miami Florida, their children Gabe and Angelina; Patrick Lincoln and wife Kathleen, Sarasota, FL; Kathleen Lincoln Miera, Las Vegas, NV, her children Randy Greenhouse, Kris Greenhouse and Danielle Miera; and Chrissy Murphy, her husband Chris, Marietta, GA and their children, Ryan and Sydney Murphy. She lived a full life and will be greatly missed. Family and Friends may gather at Beers and Story Palmer Funeral Home, 1475 N. Main St, Palmer MA. on Saturday, January 25 from 9:30 to 10:30 AM prior to an 11:00 AM Mass at St. Thomas Church, Palmer MA. Burial will be in the spring at St Thomas Cemetery. Donations can be made in her memory to the VFW.
