WATTERS, A.M. ‘Lexie” Scotsburn / Pictou We are very sad to announce the passing of our mother, Alexa “Lexie” Margaret (Fergus) Watters on January 14, 2020. Born in Scotsburn, she was a daughter of the late David & Jessie Fergus. Mom worked for the L.P. Trading Post and Scotsburn Co-op. She is survived by her daughters, Joyce (Frank) MacLeod, Susan (George) Stewart; brother, Charlie (Marg) Fergus; and sister-in-law, Lou Fergus. Mom’s pride and joy were her grandchildren, Stacey (Ahren) Klein, Wade MacLeod (Melissa MacLean), Dennis (Sherry) MacLeod, Rod Miller (Bryden Bond), Jordan (Madison) Stewart and Brier (Trevor) Vincent; her great- grandchildren, Alexa, Kenda, Kyla, Ryan, Daxon, Harlow, Saddie, Haven, and Perri. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her sisters, Mae, Roberta; and brothers, David, Arthur and Leonard. Mom was a long time member of Pictou New Horizons Club and the Bethel Presbyterian Church, Scotsburn. She loved a good joke, playing cards, making puzzles, reading, and helping others. Visitation will be held 2-5 PM Saturday, January 18th in McLaren Funeral Home, Pictou. Funeral will be 2:00 PM Sunday, January 19th from Bethel Presbyterian Church, Scotsburn, with Rev. Dr. Glen Matheson officiating. Burial will be in the Bethel Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations in Lexie’s memory may be made to the Bethel Presbyterian Church or the New Horizons Club. www.mclarenfuneral.ca
