Louise Maxine Guffey

Louise Maxine Guffey, age 84 a New Castle resident, went home to be with Jesus on January 14, 2020. She was born March 24, 1935 in Powersburg, KY a daughter of the late Steve and Pearl Denny Willis. She was a New Castle resident most of her life. She was a homemaker and treasured being a wife, mother and grandmother, and great grandmother. She loved family activities and sharing precious time with her family and friends. Mrs. Guffey loved camping at Brown County with her family. Left to cherish her memory include 3 daughters Barbara Page, Sheila Boles, Tammy Orcutt (Bill) and son Mike Guffey (Amber) all of New Castle. 11 grandchildren: Crystal Agee, James Page, Kelly McGaughey, Andy Boles (Brandy), Billy Orcutt (Kandi), Sherri Seyfferle (Derek), Matthew Orcutt- deceased, Candice Guffey, Michael Guffey (Mariah), Zackary Guffey and Madison Guffey all of New Castle. Great grandchildren Caleb Agee, Hunter Agee, Karley Agee, Baylee McGaughey, Matthew Orcutt, Billy Orcutt, Jaxson Seyfferle, Olivia Seyfferle. Several nieces, nephews and cousins. Sibling William John Willis (Loujean) and Viloa Stinson. Preceded in death by her parents, husband Gene Dec. 21, 2016, whom she married Aug. 4, 1953 and grandson Matthew Orcutt in 2007. Also 2 sisters Mary Neal, Josephine Dalton and 1 brother Paul Willis. Friends may call 5-8 pm Friday at Macer Hall Funeral Home and Cremation Services. Funeral service will be Saturday at 1pm at the funeral home. Rev’s Eric Haler and Chris Hanson will be officiating. Burial will follow in Hicksite Cemetery in Greensboro, IN.
