John Franke

John Franke, 61, passed away on Friday, April 15, 2016 in Oklahoma City. He was born in Chickasha, OK to Moritz and Maxine (Stewart) Franke. He was married to Debi Smith. He worked for many years at Maxine's Steakhouse in Anadarko, before becoming the proud owner after his mother passed away. He loved to cook, work in his vegetable garden, ride his motor cycle, a Honda Gold Wing, but in his heart it was a Harley. He loved to go on Poker Runs, but at each stop he had to check in with his mother, even at age 30. He was an avid OU fan and was the leader of the OU Pack. He enjoyed playing golf, but never made a hole in one. Loved to spend time with his family, especially the family reunions. He was a wonderful and loving son, sibling, husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and a friend to many to which they all can attest. He is survived by his wife, Debi, of the home in Moore, OK. His daughter, Maxine Brackeen, Anadarko, OK 2 sisters: Sue Zevitz, Overland Park, KS Jane Biehler, Tulsa, OK Grandchildren: Catitlin Beck and her husband, Anthony Great-Grandson, Boston Beck Nephews: Greg Startz, Tim Startz, Mike Zevitz, Dan Zevitz, Jeff Biehler, Matt Franke He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister; Anne Startz and one brother; Mark Franke Memorial Services: 11 A.M., Monday, April 18, 2016 Smith Funeral Home Chapel, Anadarko, OK Officiating: Rev. Sorry for your loss!! I remember John when he was just a kid. He was so much fun and a great cook. He would always bring steaks over and cook for us. Our prayers are with y'all!!!
