Miriam Elaine Pillote, a longtime resident of Clinton Twp., was received into the loving arms of Jesus and her loving husband's on Monday, January 14, under the care of hospice in the Shore Pointe Living Care Center of Sterling Hts. She was 95 years of age. Miriam was born Highland Park on August 25,1924, the daughter of the late Roy E. and Florence (Seymour) Kenel. For 5 years she served as a Sister of St. Joseph of Nazareth Order. She was worked for the Briggs Co. during W.W.II, She later married her beloved husband, Ray Pillote in New York in 1963 and raised two wonderful children. The couple made their home in Harper Woods and Clinton Twp. She also worked for many years in management with the Insurance Industry. For many years she was an avid bowler, playing in two leagues a week. Miriam was a very loving, giving and generous person who will be deeply missed by the many she has touched in her long lifetime. Miriam is survived by her loving children, Robert and Kelly Pillote; brother, Gordon (Karen) Kenel. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray and sisters Delphine and Sr. Diane O.P. A memorial Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, February 8, 2020 at 11am with a gathering beginning at 10:30am at St. Peter Catholic Church, 95 Market St, Mt Clemens, MI 48043.
