Brenda Revels

God took you in his loving arms; He saw you needed rest His garden must be beautiful; He only takes the best. It has pleased Almighty God in his infinite wisdom and with unfailing love to dispatch his Angel of Death to call home our loved one, releasing her from this world of trials and tribulations. Brenda Joyce Revels, the daughter of the late Leola Marshall and the late Willie Revels, Sr., was born on Saturday, March 10, 1956, in Pocomoke City, MD. On Saturday, January 11, 2020, she departed this earthly life at Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury, MD, to enter the pearly gates with her Lord and Savior. Brenda fought a good fight, she finished her course and kept the faith, henceforth there is laid up for her the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give at that day, not only to Brenda but unto all that loved his appearing. Affectionately known as Lele by family and friends, she was a joy to be around. She was known for her infamous family and social gatherings. Lele loved her Fish Fry Fridays, which included a game of spades, and spirits; she was a party starter. She kept her mother’s tradition of gathering the family together up until her health began to fail. Lele loved to cook and she fed her family and countless friends. She enjoyed dancing and listening to music. Lele even passed her love for music down to her children. At a young age, she attended Mt. Sinai Baptist Church in Wardtown. In her later years, Lele joined and became a member of New Macedonia Baptist Church in Pocomoke City, MD. Lele opened her heart and home to several of her family and friends. She was very outspoken and would not hesitate to express her thoughts. Lele loved her family deeply, and they knew it. For 13 years with family and friends by her side, she endured her battle with a lengthy illness. Lele fought even up until her death; she knew God would heal her sickened body and He did so when he asked her to replace her fight with a victorious win. To cherish fond memories of her life are four children, Kisha Revels of Philadelphia, PA, Stacy, William, and Ceaira Revels of Pocomoke City, MD; 13 grandchildren, Frederick, and Nakea Dennis, Brandon Landrum, Isaiah Foreman, Jowan, Tyreek, and Kyree Dennis, Eddie Revels, Makhala, and Makhala Baker, Christian Revels, and Bryanna and Brandon Shrieves; five great-grandchildren, Sake, Bella, Tyrie, Delilah, and Hamza; two sisters, Roselee Melendez (Daniel), and Anne Mae Savage (Calvin); three brothers, Willie Rubel (Emily), Albert Marshall (Sheila), and Robert Revels (Addie); Brenda’s telephone buddies, Earl Tatterson, Tymesha Schoolfield, Margaret Thomas-George, William “Buddy” Bell, and Sheila Kay Cropper, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Leola Marshall, and Willie Revels; loving daughter, Timika Revels; beloved brothers, and sisters, Pauline Costen, Madeline Blake, Eddie Revels, George “Buddy” Holland, Ronnie, and Nordell Revels; aunt, Etta Foreman, and uncle, Clarence Marshall. We will miss her sense of humor, quit-witted tongue, purple lipstick, loved-filled meals, hours on hours at Walmart visits, and rushing to play her lottery each day.
