Kenneth "Kenny" Duane Higgins, 75, died January 11, 2020 in Colorado Springs, Colorado. He was born March 10, 1944 in Estherville, Iowa to Carl C. and Bonnie Amelia (Stapleton) Higgins. Kenny was a member of the U.S Army from 1961 to 1964 and was a landscaper for his own business. He married Mary Bueno on February 18, 1989. They made their home in Pikes Peak Park. They loved to travel and be in each others company. He loved wood working, working on cars, working in their yard and talking with friends. Kenny is preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Bonnie Higgins; sons, Eddie Bronnenberg and Louie Martinez; brothers, Dale, Pete and Phil; and sisters, Betty, Jean, Lois and Kathy. He is survived by his wife, Mary Higgins; his sons, Shane (Kelly) Higgins of Camden, Missouri, Danny (Ruby) Martinez of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Steve (Kristen) Bronnenberg of Caney, Kansas; daughters, Sara Snodderly of Columbus, Missouri, Margie (Marty) Bier of Cotopaxi, Colorado and Angel (Cloyd) Martinez of Colorado Springs, Colorado; twenty-eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; brothers, Mike, Bill, Jerry and Glen; and sisters, Mary, Carla, Tish and Shelly.
