Hamilton "Bob" Carl Woodard

Hamilton "Bob" C. Woodard, 66, Rapid City, died Saturday, August 20, 2016. A visitation will be held on Sunday, August 28, 2016, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Serenity Springs Funeral Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, August 29, 2016, at the funeral chapel with Deacon Marlon Leneagh officiating. Burial will follow at Black Hills National Cemetery. Bob came into this world on May 9, 1950, to Hamilton and Sylvia (Holmes) Woodard, Sr. in Barre, Vermont. He joined the Air Force in 1969, and after four years, he was stationed at Ellsworth Air Force Base. He came to love the Black Hills and always loved taking rides through the hills, camping, fishing, or finding a place to just sit and enjoy the beauty. He drove truck for many years. He leaves behind the loves of his life, wife, Mary; daughters, Nicole (Derrick) Weston, Katherine (Ryan) Williams, Cherie Peters, Natalie (David) Birmeier, and Shanna Cantreras; sons, Justin Woodard, Vincent Peters, and Todd Gakin; and sister, Donna (Ernie) Sandville. To complete that love was his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. When Bob came into our lives, he held our hearts and our hands and when that time came where the angels took his hands to take him home, he let go of our hands. Our hearts are so full of love from him. We hold you forever, until we see you again. We love you and miss you so very much. He joins his parents and all those that walked through his heart.
