Cumberland – Surrounded by his family, Mark Wayne Rose, 63, went to be with his Lord and Savior on January 3, 2020 at the University of Maryland Medical Center.
Born on May 20, 1956 in Tyler, TX, Mark was the son of Marjorie E. Rose and the late Walter Rose.
Mark is survived by his wife, Jennifer (Merritt) Rose and his son, Solomon Rose, his step children, Madison Watson, Miranda Clay and husband, Garrett, Hayden Watson and his grandson, Cyrus Clay. Also, his brother, William Rose and wife, Marilyn, and sister, Cheryl Rose Grant along with nieces and a nephew and his dog, Eddie.
He attended Lighthouse of Hope Assembly of God in Cresaptown where he was a board member and true friend to everyone that attended.
Mark was the business owner of Mark's Daily Grind and Cafe' Mark in Cumberland, MD for 15 years. He touched many lives doing what he loved.
Mark attended Texas Tech University where he had a full scholarship as a linebacker on the football team.
He was a very passionate, faithful and loving man. He cherished and adored his wife and son and loved and treated his step children as his own. He had many friends and Mark cherished each and every person he knew.
As passionate as he was about his family, friends and church, he put his salvation and relationship with Jesus Christ first. He now stands in heavenly glory, completely whole, worshiping our King forevermore. He leaves a legacy to love your family unconditionally and passionately pursue God with everything you have until the time comes for Him to call you home.
Friends will be received at the Lighthouse of Hope Assembly of God Church, 11507 Moss Ave, Cumberland, MD 21502, on Friday, January 10, 2020, from 10am to 11am. A memorial service will immediately follow at 11am with Pastor Tim McGregor officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Lighthouse of Hope Church, Attn: Building Fund and/or Children's Ministry, 11507 Moss Ave, Cumberland, MD 21502
