Lucinda (Riggs) Dingess

Lucinda Dingess, 100 of Mt. Gay, formerly of Holden, passed away December 20, 2015 at Logan Regional Medical Center in Logan. Born January 4, 1915 in Wayne County, WV, she was the daughter of the late Phillip Sheridan and Sarah Sellards Riggs. Lucinda was also preceded in death by her husband Guy Dingess, sons in law Kendall Jenkins and Frank Gaylock Jr., one sister Martha Chafin, one grandson David Kelly and two brothers Rudolph Riggs and Jarrett Riggs. Mrs. Dingess was a homemaker and a member of the 5 & 6 Holden Freewill Baptist Church for over 80 years. Those left to cherish her memory include her daughters Shelva Gaylock of Mt. Gay and Eula Jenkins of Holden, two sisters Dorothy Watts of East Lynn, WV and Janet Watts of Marion, OH, a special sister in law Doris Ann Riggs of Marion, OH, four grandchildren Sharon (David) Kelly of Tims Fork Chapmanville, Lana Workman of Spencer, Kevin (Becky) Jenkins of Stuart, FL and Debra (Darrell) Neil of Garretts Fork Chapmanville, nine great grandchildren and a host of great great grandchildren and her little buddy Ginger. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday December 23, 2015 at 1:00 PM at 5 & 6 Holden Freewill Baptist Church of Holden with Rev. Larry Light officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery at Pecks Mill, WV. Pallbearers will be family and friends. Friends may call on the family Tuesday from 7:00 - 9:00 PM at the church. In lieu of flowers donations can be made the 5& 6 Holden Freewill Baptist Church in memory of Mrs. Dingess.
