Estell Howard Hatfield, 79, of Sherrills Ford passed away on Tuesday, December 31, 2019 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. He was born June 24, 1940 in Logan, WV to the late Charlie Hatfield and Annie Carter Campbell. Estell was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Newton where he loved going to church. He enjoyed yard work, cooking and playing with his dogs Pepper and Peanut. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Glendene Prater Hatfield; brothers, June Hatfield, Edward Justice and Frankie Campbell; son-in-law, Charles Hurley Those left to cherish his memory are; Sons: Johnithan Hatfield and wife Susie of Catawba Matthew Hatfield and wife Talena of Catawba Daughters: Angie Sanson and husband Donnie of Hodges, SC Kaye Hurley of Pikeville, KY Brother: Arthur Campbell and wife Cheryl of Catawba Sister: Shirley Justice of Freeburn Grandchildren: Jeremy, Joshua, Joe, Brittany, Ashley, Kobe, Kayla, Corey, Aiden, Chasity and Chris Great-Grandchildren: Camron, Karson, Charity, Jayden, Jacob, Serenity and Riker A service to celebrate Estell’s life will be held on Sunday, January 5, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at Faith Baptist Church in Newton. Rev. Dusty Roberts will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will view on Saturday, January 4, 2020 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Bennett Funeral Service in Newton.
