Henry Alvin Williams

Mr. Henry Alvin Williams, age 71, of Aragon, GA passed away Thursday, August 11, 2016 at his residence following a brief illness. He was born in Floyd County, GA on December 25, 1944 a son of Henry Sterling Williams and Mary Taylor Williams. Mr. Williams had lived the greater part of his life in Aragon where he was a member of the Euharlee Baptist Church. He worked in the textile industry for many years followed by his most recent employment with Advance Storage Products as a metal fabricator. He loved to repair lawn mowers and enjoyed lawn care. He was a very warm and caring man who loved everyone and was loved by all with whom he came in contact with throughout all his life. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Keanna Lesha Thompson and by five brothers: Odell, Hugh, Ray, Glenn and Waymon Williams. Survivors include his wife of fifty three years, Linda Williams, Aragon; three daughters: Lisa Robinson (Tommy), Aragon, Rita Bishop (Jerry), Aragon and Karen Thompson (Jermaine), Aragon; eight grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; four sisters: Catherine Kelley, Aragon, Brenda Childers, Rockmart, Bernice Streetman, Buchanan and Gracie Sanders, Aragon; two brothers: Allen Williams, Aragon and Donnie Williams, Aragon; numerous nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 13, 2016 at 2:00 pm in the chapel of the Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home with prayer by Rev. Billy Chambers and Rev. Steven Moore officiating. Interment will follow in the Aragon Cemetery with Bro. Brent Williams officiating. Pallbearers will include: Carey Robinson, David Johnson, Josh Johnson, Mitchell Rice, Terry Spencer and Robert Bishop. The family will receive friends Saturday from 1:00 pm until the service hour at the Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home. The Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
