Age 72 of Mt. Morris, died suddenly at his home on Monday, December 30, 2019. In accordance with Bob’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held in the Summer of 2020. Bob was born December 27, 1947, in Flint, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert D. and Wanda L. (Smith) Cummings. Educated locally, Bob grew up in Clio. In 1966, Bob went to work for General Motors, working production at Chevy in the Hole for 30 years, until his retirement in 1996. He was a member of the UAW #659 and the Auto City Eagles #3584. Fishing, hunting, and bowling were just a few of the hobbies Bob enjoyed in his free time. Bob leaves to cherish his memory two sons: Matthew and wife, Dawn Cummings of Sierra Vista, Arizona, and Mark and wife, Mary Cummings of White Lake; two daughters: Makayla Watson, of Flint, and Tami Montrull of Flint; 10 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; brother, Everett, and wife, Diane Cummings; sister, Sandy Edison; and several nieces; nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.
