Charles Michael Cantrell, age 30 of Gatlinburg, passed away Wednesday, December 25, 2019. Charlie was a member of Glades Lebanon Baptist Church. He served eight years in the U.S. Army Reserves. He obtained his B.S. in economics from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville and was currently a nursing student at Walters State. Charlie enjoyed baking and keeping up with his health and fitness. You could always find Charlie playing with and entertaining the children in the family. He was preceded in death by his aunts, Elaine Smonskey Bayliff and Linda Cantrell McCarter Charlie is survived by his parents, Bruce Cantrell and Donna Smonskey Cantrell; grandparents, Glenn and Hazel Cantrell, Frank and Anne Smonskey; brothers and sister-in-law, Scott and Megan Cantrell, Kurt Cantrell; sister and brother-in-law, Cheryl and Kevin Spanjersberg; nieces and nephews, Colton and Hunter Cantrell, Jade and Draiman Spanjersberg; extended family, Allan and Dianne Cantrell, Charles and Teresa Cantrell, Doug and Kara Hall, Mary Cantrell, Kristi Cantrell, Brenda Smonskey, Blair and Alice Johnson, Jeff and Carolyn Forbes, and numerous cousins.
