Mary Jane Butcher Gladwin, Michigan Mary Jane Butcher 95 entered heaven to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday April 15, 2016 following a lingering illness. She was born in Gladwin on October 22, 1920 to the late Raymond & Bertha (Ramhild) Anger. She grew up in Gladwin and attended the Grout Schools. Mary Jane married Edward Balzer in 1936. He preceded her in death in 1970. Mary Jane and Ed lived in Gladwin all their married life where together they operated a farm and auction service. She worked as the clerk for the auctions and in later years she drove school bus for the Gladwin School District. In 1980 she married William Butcher and together they shared raising her family which she enjoyed very much. They will remember the love & warmth of her home, especially her large family Christmas party and the thoughtful gifts she would have for everyone. Her family and friends will miss her love and their visits, playing cards, seeing her at all the grandchildren’s sporting events, summer days camping at Sugar Springs and bowling with her. She was a devoted member of the Wagarville United Methodist Church, an honoree of the Bowlers Hall of Fame and enjoyed her trips to Arizona in her travel trailer. She is survived by her six children Dorothy & Steven “Tony” Miller, Robert & Lynda Balzer, Raymond & Kathy Balzer, Connie & Richard Arthur, Marvin & Marva Balzer and Ted & Vicki Balzer; 19 grandchildren, 37 great grandchildren and 8 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two daughters and son in law Betty & Richard McColley, Bonnie Balzer and a brother Arthur Anger and several grand children. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday April 20, 2016 at 11 am from the Sisson Funeral Home with Rev Duane Miller presiding with burial in Highland Cemetery. Family will receive family & friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 2 to 8 pm and Wednesday 10 am until time of services. Those wishing and expression of sympathy are asked to consider Wagarville United Methodist Church. 2-8 PM Tuesday April 19, 2016 10:00 AM until the time of service Wednesday April 20, 2016
