William "Bill" Michael Armstrong Obituary

William (Bill) Michael Armstrong was born September 26, 1965 in Lander Wyoming to John D. Armstrong and Gayle Ann (Boyd) Armstrong. He grew up on the family ranch and during his school years excelled in FFA, football, and wrestling. After graduating high school, he went to work in Everett Washington for his uncle, Kent Boyd, learning the construction business. He continued in the construction field being an iron worker for Glacier Steel in Alaska. He traveled and worked in many areas including Dutch Harbor and Unalaska. While in Dutch Harbor he became a crane operator loading and unloading crab pots and fishing boats. He returned to Wyoming and worked for his brother-in-law, Bill Bregar at the Lander’s Main Street Car Wash for many years. Bill loved being a cowboy and worked on several ranches in Fremont County. Everyone that knew Bill said he was a hard worker and a good friend. His family loved him and always wanted the best life for him. Bill leaves behind his father John D. Armstrong, daughter Taylor Lynch and grandson Rhett, sister Annette (Bill) Bregar, niece Heather (Drew) Nielsen), nephew Hunter (Allison) Bregar, Aunt Jean Armstrong. He was preceded in death by his mother Gayle Ann Armstrong, paternal grandparents Jack and Gayle C. Armstrong, maternal grandparents Nate and Loretta Boyd and his nephew Nathan Bregar. Bill passed on December 23, 2019 in Billings. Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be Monday December 30, 2019 at 1:00 at the Chapel of Mount Hope, Hudson’s Funeral Home.
