Michael Rene' Hester Obituary

Michael Rene’ Hester, age 58, died Sunday, June 12, 2016 at his home in Mustang. He was born June 25, 1957 in Oklahoma City to Carl and Evelyn (Tro) Hester. Moving as a young child with his family to Mustang, he attended Mustang Schools and graduated in 1975. He obtained an Associates Degree in Electronics, a degree in Medical Technology, a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from UCO, and was a licensed Bio Medical Engineer, having worked many years at Mercy Hospital. He helped open the Oklahoma Heart Hospital and retired in 2011. Mike had many hobbies. He enjoyed building models, especially model rockets. He was a Trekkie. He was Whovian. He was a Star Wars OG fan. He loved anything fantasy or Sci Fi related. For example, Mike met his wife during a Dungeons and Dragons game in college. Always an avid gamer, he was easily the best Skyrim player in history. He was a founding member of Christ Lutheran Church in Mustang. Mike was preceded in death by his parents. Passing on their 34th wedding anniversary, he is survived by his wife, Susan, as well as his children Jamie Lynn Marchi of Dallas, TX, Jean-Luc Hester of Dallas, Texas and John Louis Marchi of Austin, TX. Not to be forgotten are his three pups and three grand pups plus many other relatives and friends. Services will be held at 3pm on Saturday, June 18, 2016 at Christ Lutheran Church, Mustang, OK with interment following in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma under the direction of McNeil’s Funeral Service, Mustang, Oklahoma.
