<p>Melfi, Robert V., 87, of Wood Ridge, died on Tuesday, September 8, 2015. Mr. Melfi was born in Lyndhurst, raised in Brooklyn, NY, lived in Wood Ridge for 30 years and retired to Vero Beach, FL. Robert was an Electrician where he worked for ITT of Nutley and Rutherford Machinery of East Rutherford. He was a member and past president of The Wood Ridge Social Club and Director of the CW Townsmen Color Guard. Robert was predeceased by his beloved wife of 60 years, Ann (nee Caprio) Melfi in 2012. He is survived by his loving children, Linda Novak & her husband, Bob and Dr. Robert Melfi & his wife, Ginger, by his dear grandchildren, Hannah Novak, Michael and Lindsey Melfi and by his sister, Rosemarie Azzaro. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral from Nazare Memorial Home, Inc., 403 Ridge Road, Lyndhurst on Saturday, September 12, 2015 at 8:30 AM then to Church of the Assumption of Our Blessed Lady, 143 First Street, Wood Ridge where at 10 AM a Funeral Mass will be offered. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington. Visiting hours Friday 2-4 & 7-9 PM.
