<p>Dorothy I. Rusch, 92, of Trivoli, passed away at 7:54 AM on Saturday, February 14, 2026 at Farmington Village in Farmington. She was born on May 25, 1933 in Kickapoo Township, Peoria County, a daughter of Charles and Julia (Cox) Wagner. She married Earl Rusch on June 19, 1952 at St Paul Lutheran Church in Brimfield. He preceded her in death on January 24, 2004.</p><p><br></p><p>Also, preceding Dorothy in death were her parents, son Daniel Rusch, brother, William Wagner, sisters, Matilda Schulz, and Mary Dungan.</p><p><br></p><p>Surviving is her children, Irene (Michael) Endress of Monmouth; Debra (David) Losher of Rockford; John Rusch of Middlegrove; Katherine (Mark) Umholtz of Mapleton; nine grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren, and one on the way; sister, Eileen Harding of Glen Carbon, and her daughter-in-law, Ruth Rusch of Trivoli.</p><p><br></p><p>Dorothy loved raising her children, and caring for their home in her earlier years, later in life, she worked for Trivoli Bank as a custodian &amp; carrier for over 25 years. She was an avid gardener, and lifetime member of the St Paul Lutheran Church in Brimfield. The Rusch family sincerely thanks the caregivers and staff of Courtyard Estates in Farmington for their compassionate care and hospitality over the past seven years.&nbsp;</p><p><br></p><p>A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, February 19, 2026 at Anderson-Sedgwick Funeral Home in Farmington, where visitation will be from 10:00 AM until the time of the services. Pastor Michael Wagnitz will officiate. Burial will follow the services, and take place in Penn Ridge Cemetery in rural Trivoli. Memorials can be made to the Logan/Trivoli Fire Department or to the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Brimfield.
