<p>Irma “Adele” Miscia of Montclair, New Jersey, passed away at the age of 100 on</p><p>Saturday, July 12th. Adele had immigrated to America from Northern Italy in 1947</p><p>during the post-WWII era. Like many others of her time, she boarded a passenger</p><p>vessel across the Atlantic called the Marine Shark to embark on her journey and</p><p>entered the U.S. through Ellis Island. </p><p>Adele was an avid gardener, known for her beautiful vegetable and flower gardens.</p><p>She also was considered the best “gourmet” chef by her family and those who</p><p>loved her. Adele was a strong and independent family-centered woman. She adored</p><p>her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a devout catholic and</p><p>Eucharistic minister. She was proud to be an American citizen and viewed it as her</p><p>pride and glory. During most of her later years, Adele was employed at the West</p><p>Orange ShopRite by providing product demonstrations and samples to customers.</p><p>She loved her work and her family even more. Adele was a frequent card player</p><p>and enjoyed summers at the Jersey shore with her family. </p><p>She is survived by her three children including her son Robert Miscia (Mary) of</p><p>Flemington, NJ; her son Rocco L. Miscia Jr. (Anne) of Pompton Plains, NJ; and</p><p>her daughter Marie Galioto (Anthony) of Morris Plains, NJ. She is also survived by</p><p>her seven grandchildren, Kenneth Miscia (Deborah) of Port St. Joe, Florida;</p><p>Veronica Busciglio (Anthony) of Aliso Viejo, CA; Robert Miscia of Madison, NJ;</p><p>Cara Rychecky (Rick) of Flemington, NJ; Danielle DeVivo (Dominick) of Morris</p><p>Plains, NJ; Marissa Falzarano (Gary) of Towaco, NJ; and Rachel Miscia of</p><p>Pompton Plains, NJ. Adele is also survived by her 7 great-grandchildren, Kenny,</p><p>Conrad, Dario, Cristian, Lucy, Dominick, and Salvatore. She is predeceased by her</p><p>husband Rocco L. Miscia of Montclair, NJ and her son, Vincent Miscia (Jeanne) of</p><p>Laguna Woods, CA.</p><p><br></p><p>Services will be held for Adele at Caggiano Memorial-Home at 62 Grove St,</p><p>Montclair, NJ on Thursday, July 17th from 4:00-8:00 pm and a funeral mass will</p><p>follow on Friday, July 18th at Immaculate Conception Church, 30 N Fullerton Ave,</p><p>Montclair, NJ beginning at 11:00 am.</p>
