<p>The family announces with great sorrow her passing in Sudbury on Friday, July 4, 2025, at the age of 84 years. Wife of the late Roger D’Aoust (2016) and the late Leonard Ratelle (1988). Daughter of the late Alfred and the late Aurore (née Cardinal) Roy. Loving mother of the late Diane Ratelle, Jeannine Dowd of Innisfil, Carole Birmingham (Jay) of Whitby, Denise Plante (Dan) of Val Caron and stepmother of Phil D’Aoust (Shelley), Gisèle Mathews (Andrew) and Elaine Fielding (Brian). Dear sister of André Roy, Gisèle Venne, Murielle Demore, Marcel Roy and Jacques Roy. Predeceased by her siblings Gerald Roy and Raymonde Jutras. Cherished grandmother of Darryl (Dee), Carrie-Anne (Grant), Erika, Chanelle (Dax), Caley (Rhys), Danika, Dominique, Devin, Jon, Catherine, Spencer, Jeremy, Grace and great-grandmother of Ayden, Vera, Hudson, Amelia, Connor, Bennett and Willow. Lovingly remembered by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. In her younger days, Claudette enjoyed going to the gym, keeping in shape and shopping at Sears. She loved going to bingo and will be remembered for squeezing the cheeks of her grandkids. She was happiest when surrounded by her family. The family will receive relatives and friends at the COOPERATIVE FUNERAL HOME, 222 Lasalle Blvd, Sudbury on Thursday, July 10, 2025, from 6 to 8 p.m. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday, July 11, 2025, at 10 a.m. at Ste-Marguerite d’Youville Church, Val Thérèse.
