Robert "Bob" Kyle Hutton
<p>Robert “Bob” Kyle Hutton passed away peacefully at home on July 5th, 2025 at the age of 86. Bob was born on January 2nd, 1939 in Bristol, Virginia to his parents Edward Arthur and Viola McCroskey Hutton.</p><p><br></p><p>Bob graduated from Virginia High School. He spent his lifetime farming and collecting cars. He competed in regional and national tractor pulling circuit competitions with “Clod Hopper II” and made many lifelong friends. Later in life, he obtained his commercial driver’s license, and retired from driving at the age of 78. He was a lifelong NASCAR fan and he enjoyed attending races in his younger years.</p><p><br></p><p>In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his loving wife, Glenda Clark Hutton; his brother, Malcolm P. Hutton; sister, Margaret Hutton French and husband Jack; son-in-law, Charlie Sistare; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.</p><p><br></p><p>He is survived by daughter, Ginger Hutton and partner, Rick Nalls; son, Robert E. Hutton and wife, Mary Lou; daughter, Sally Hutton Sistare; son, David K. Hutton and wife April; stepson, Martin Duncan and wife, Christie; grandchildren, Ryan Hutton and wife, Emily, Madeline Hutton, Jacob Hutton, Emily Duncan Kestner, Chandler Foster and fiance’, Kaley, Hayley Foster and boyfriend, Grayson Small; and nephew, P. Edward French and wife, Amy. He also leaves behind his beloved feline companion, Friskie.</p><p><br></p><p>The family would like to express special appreciation to Dr. Jared Hess and staff as well as Elite Hospice Care for their care and support.</p><p><br></p><p>The family will receive friends at Akard Funeral Home in Bristol, TN on Monday July 7th from 5-7 pm. Funeral services will follow the visitation at 7 pm with Pastor Roger Ball officiating. The committal service and interment will be held on Tuesday, July 8th at Fleenors Memorial Church Cemetery at 11 am. Those wishing to attend the committal service should meet at Akard Funeral Home at 10 am Tuesday to go in procession to the cemetery.</p><p><br></p><p>Pallbearers will be Ed Conley, Martin Duncan, Chandler Foster, Brad Hutton, Jacob Hutton, and Ryan Hutton.
