<p>Evon Jean Daugherty, daughter of Henry Daugherty and Alice Hill, was born in Caldwell, Idaho on June 23rd, 1937. She later moved to Minnesota and finally settled down in Bristol, VA, where she lived until her passing on June of 2025.</p><p><br></p><p>She was a school teacher who loved teaching children and loved travel. She graduate college with a degree in education and would go on to become a teacher. Education and travel would lead her to Japan where she met a service man named, John Olson. They met in Japan, but traveled the world together before returning to the United States where they went on to get married, settle down, and have two children who she is survived by. Evon’s first child was her daughter, Kelly Olson, and four years later her son, Brandon Olson was born. She was a loving mother and wife. She loved a good laugh, good food, and good people. She loved her granddaughter, Kinsley Olson and her grandson Logan Olson. She was kind and generous, and she never met and animal she didn’t love. She was always helping out at her children’s schools and was active in the community. She meant so much to those who knew her and she was so grateful for those who she was close to, especially in her final years. She will be loved and missed by her family and friends.
