<p><p>Charles Edward Washington was born in Moorhead, MS, on January 3, 1957 to the parents of Louvenia (Bell) Washington and Gabe Washington.</p> <p> </p> <p>He attended Gentry High School in Indianola, MS. After high school he moved to New Orleans, LA where he worked in a shipyard for many years. Later, he moved to Waco, TX where he worked as a roofer for Johnson Roofing Co. until retirement.</p> <p> </p> <p>Charles was a very humble and giving individual who loved his family and friends dearly. Those who loved and preceded him in death were his mother, Louvenia Washington; father, Gabe Washington; brother, Joe Lewis Tall; sister, Ruth Ellen Smith; brother, Curtis Washington; sister, Brenda K. Washington-Jones; sister, Sylvia J. Washington.</p> <p> </p> <p>Charles leaves to cherish his memories: sisters, Maple (James) Stuckey, Moorhead, MS, Bobbie (Henry) Lloyd, Stockton, CA, Annette Washington Field, Moorhead, MS, Shirl (Isaiah) Ivy, Waco, TX, Detrice Stacy Washington, Arlington, TX, Sheila (Richard) Gibson, Moorhead, MS.; Brothers, Roscoe (Toni) Washington, Selma, AL., Perry (Diana) Washington, Sr., Moorhead, MS. and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.</p> <p> </p> </p>January 3, 1957 - July 4, 202501/03/195707/04/2025
