<p><p> </p> <p> Lilia Mugartegui, age 64, passed away peacefully on Friday June 20, 2025 in Texas City, TX.</p> <p> She was born January 12th, 1961, in Galveston, TX, to Ramon and Irma Lara. She was a long-time resident of Galveston and attended Ball High School. She married Luis Mugartegui on February 24, 1984, in Galveston, TX. She was a devoted caregiver to her mother for many years. Lilia lived her life to the fullest and was an amazing mother and grandmother. She loved spending time with her family, friends, and watching soap operas in both languages. Lilia also had a smile and personality that would light up the room.</p> <p> She is survived by her children Ana (Patrick), Maria (Samuel), Luis (Gabriela), Stepdaughter Liliana and Son in law Rick (Jessica), Grandchildren Ricardo, Robert, Adan, Julius, Elias Galvan, Liam and Luna Waddle, Best friend Mandy, many siblings, cousins, nieces, and nephews. In addition to both her parents, she’s preceded in death by her sisters Janie and Blanca and nephew Elias.</p> <p> Family, Friends and others whose lives were touched by her are invited to First Church of God, 2209 29th Street N, Texas City TX 77590. Timing will be from 5 pm to 7pm Saturday July 19, 2025 to reminisce, grieve, and support each other.</p> <p> The family is asking for everyone to wear purple as we are celebrating her life.</p> <p> </p> </p>January 12, 1961 - June 20, 202501/12/196106/20/2025
