<p><p>BETTY LEE CHILES FIKES - Born July 6, 1946, went home to her Lord June 19, 2025. Born to James and Elizabeth Chiles in AIvin,Texas and later her family moved to Corpus Christi,Texas where Betty resided until September 11, 2020. Betty graduated from Ray High School in Corpus Christi in 1964. Soon after, she met Chester Fikes Jr., and they were married in 1965 and remained married for 57 years and 10 months before Chester's death in November 2022. Betty was a wonderful seamstress and spent many hours sewing for her family, friends and clients.</p> <p>She had a deep faith in God and loved learning more about His word, which she shared with many. She went to Bible College in her 60’s and was very proud when she finished. In 2019, Betty continued to decline with Alzheimer's and decisions were made to move Betty to Bryan, Texas where she could be properly cared for. Chester also moved to Bryan where he remained until his passing. Betty resided for nearly 6 years at Hudson Creek Alzheimer's Facility until she was called home. Betty is preceded in death by her father James Lee Chiles and mother Elizabeth Chiles, her husband Chester Allen Fikes and Grand Daughter Nache Fikes Verner.</p> <p>Betty is survived by her sons Darrel Fikes (Belinda), Jeffry Fikes (Kathryn), Brad Fikes, Kevin Fikes (Darla), and Donovan Fikes (Kirsten), sister Shirley Jones (Bob), 21 Grandchildren, S Great Grandchildren and many Nieces and Nephews.</p> <p>A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, JuIy,12, 2025, from 12 PM to 3 PM at Kingdom Life Church 3409 Waldron Road, Building A, Flour Bluff, Texas</p> </p>July 6, 1946 - June 19, 202507/06/194606/19/2025
