<p>Janice Hazel Luehmann, age 77, formerly of Wasioja, MN, died peacefully in Brainerd surrounded by family, on July 1, 2025. </p><p>Jan was born on May 21, 1948, in Quincy Township, MN, daughter of Evan and Violet (Walters) Burdick.&nbsp; She grew up on a family farm graduating from Plainview High School.&nbsp; Jan met her Prince Charming, Glen Arthur Luehmann.&nbsp; Glen and Jan married in Plainview, MN on September 6,1969.&nbsp; They enjoyed 52 years of marriage prior to Glen’s passing. </p><p>&nbsp;Jan was known for her kind heart, creative spirit and deep love for her family.&nbsp; She found joy in the simple pleasures of life-crafting beautiful things with her hands, sewing clothing for her children, once crafting a beautiful prom dress for her youngest daughter.&nbsp; Jan’s personal flair in her sewing designs included adding a bold colored fabric to the inside of the clothing.&nbsp; In later years, Jan enjoyed creating handmade jewelry that reflected her artistic flair. </p><p>A nurturing presence to many, she delighted in rocking babies and sharing love with the youngest in her life.&nbsp; She faithfully served her church for many years, joyfully teaching Sunday School and coordinating Vacation Bible School, where creativity and faith touched countless children’s lives.&nbsp; She treasured time spent with her devoted husband, Glen, and her beloved children-cherishing every meal, activity and quiet moment.&nbsp; From weekends spent camping on a 16-foot flatbed trailer, under the shelter of a canvas tent stitched by her own gifted hands, to afternoons spent at the woodlot gathering firewood for winter, she loved the simple pleasure of fishing along the shore; any time spent with family was cherished time.&nbsp; Whether playing cards, solving crossword puzzles, or enjoying a lively game of Rummikub-Jan filled every space with laughter, warmth and connection. </p><p>Her life was a beautiful example of love in action-through her hands, her faith and the way she cared for others.&nbsp; She will be deeply missed by all who knew her, but her legacy of kindness and creativity will live on. </p><p>Jan is survived by her Children: Clayton Luehmann, Brainerd, MN; Tamara (Daniel) Reps, St. Charles, MN; Carie (Bruce) Galley, Brainerd, MN; Melanie (Joshua) Revier, Forst Lake, MN.&nbsp; Grandchildren: Ashley (Eldon) Robert, Zachary Galley, Travis (Abigail) Paape, Maria Paape (Victor), Michaela (Matthew) Starks, Cole Reps, Dani (Tony) Weilandt, Levi (Rachel) Reps, Lily Revier, Julia Revier; Twenty-three great-grandchildren.&nbsp; She is also survived by her sisters Deanna Husman and Jean Clark; sisters-in-law Linda Burdick, Donna Luehmann and Sandy (Dan) Pritzl.&nbsp; Jan was preceded in death by her husband, Glen; her parents, infant daughter and infant grandson, brother Merle Burdick; brothers-in-law Dave Husman and Gary Luehmann and niece Tasha Luehmann. </p><p>Funeral service is Monday, July 7, 2025, 11 a.m. at Schad &amp; Zabel Funeral Home in Plainview. A lunch will follow at the Plainview American Legion, then the burial at Worth Cemetery, Utica, MN. Visitation is Monday, one hour prior to the service at the funeral&nbsp; home. </p>
