<p>Paul Michael Moser, son of the late Mabel (Gehringer) and Joseph Moser, passed away peacefully at the age of 95 on July 1, 2025. He was the beloved husband for 69 years of Anastasia C. (Flynn) Moser and the devoted father of the late Ronald Moser (Penny), Barbara White (Lawrence), Catherine Bedard (Randal), Janice Lupas (Andrei), and Theresa Dolan (Andrew). He is survived by 15 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and his brother Norbert (Margaret). He was predeceased by his older siblings Vincent, Edward, and Sr. Marie St. Michael, I.H.M. (Teresa) Moser. </p><p>Mr. Moser was born in Philadelphia on March 13, 1930. He attended St. Bonaventure Catholic School and La Salle College High School. He received his B.A. in physics from La Salle University and his M.S. in physics from the University of Delaware. He performed research in microwave spectroscopy at Delaware and at Duke University. Over a 34-year period starting in 1955, Mr. Moser was employed at the Naval Air Development Center (NADC) in Warminster, PA, where he performed studies on the nonacoustic detection of submarines, developed sensors, and conducted airborne experiments. He published over 100 technical articles, reports, and papers, and holds three patents on his inventions. He received numerous awards and commendations including Department of the Navy awards for Meritorious Civilian Service and for Superior Civilian Service, and the Naval Air Development Center Award for Scientific Achievement. </p><p>While working as an NADC employee, he also served as a member of the faculty of La Salle University for 28 years, teaching undergraduate physics courses in the school’s evening degree program. </p><p>After retiring from NADC he worked for Pacific Sierra Research Corporation for seven years.</p><p>In December 2008, Mr. Moser was recruited to work as a part-time Senior Technical Advisor at Rite-Solutions in support of an Office of Naval Research program to document the history of periscope detection radar.</p><p>A member of Our Lady Help of Christians (OLHC) Parish in Abington, PA, since 1959, Mr. Moser served as a lector (and head of the Lector Society) and sang in the bass section in the parish choir. He also lent his vocal talents to various choral projects, such as Sing-Ins of Handel’s Messiah in Philadelphia. He performed in several productions of the OLHC Theatre Guild and also constructed a number of props used in various shows, including his most popular, a functioning water pump for its 1996 production of The Miracle Worker.</p><p>Mr. Moser enjoyed spending time with his family, sharing wisdom, providing financial advice, listening to classical music, traveling, taking long walks, and sailing.</p>
