<p>Melody R. Kennedy (nee Dux), age 73, a resident of Aurora, IL since 2005, formerly of Naperville, IL, passed away on Monday, June 30, 2025, at her home. She was born on October 9, 1951, in Chicago, IL.</p><p><br></p><p>Melody is survived by her “Fake Husband”, Michael C. McKenzie, five children, Cliff Kennedy, Lauren Kennedy (Daniel Cutler), Angela (Michael) Tiu, Dane Harper and Sidney Harper, five grandchildren, Gavin Hugh and Samantha Rae Kennedy; Cara Angelina Koehler; Louie Michael and Cora Rose Tiu, a sister, Marilyn (Stephen) Bailey and many nieces and nephews.</p><p>She was preceded in death by her husband, Gavin H. Kennedy, a son, Gavin Brian (the late Kelly) Kennedy and her parents, the late Ernest and Marilyn (nee Boyle) Dux.</p><p><br></p><p>A memorial visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 8, 2025, 10:00 AM-12:00 PM at Friedrich-Jones Funeral Home &amp; Cremation Services, 44 S. Mill St., Naperville, IL 60540.</p><p><br></p><p>A celebration of Melody's life will follow on Tuesday, at 12:00 PM, in the funeral home.</p><p><br></p><p>Graveside services will follow at Naperville Cemetery.</p><p><br></p><p>For more information, please call (630) 355-0213 or visit www.friedrich-jones.com</p>
