With deep sorrow, we regretfully announce the passing of Scott Michael Seib, who left this world on June 27, 2025, at the age of 44. Born on January 25, 1981, Scott was the cherished son of Dennis and Kyle Seib, a loving brother to Rachael and Dennis, and a proud uncle to his niece, Mya. He is also survived by his daughter Avery Scott Seib and loyal German Shepherd, Elway. Scott lived life with unmistakable joy and a deep sense of adventure and devotion to family. He embraced the Salt Life and the ocean in Florida, where walks along the shoreline—Elway at his side and Kenny Chesney in his ears—became a kind of quiet meditation for him. A passionate sports fan, Scott cheered loudest for the St. Louis Cardinals, and his football loyalty was boldly and lovingly split between the Denver Broncos and Miami Dolphins. His endless devotion was not just to family but also his country with his service in the U.S. Coast Guard.  He had pride in the things he loved, especially his cars. His Mustangs and his Charger weren’t just transportation to him; they were reflections of his personality: powerful, and rebellious. To know Scott was to experience joy in its most genuine form. Whether he was experimenting in the kitchen with a bold new dish or presenting a five-star feast to family and friends, he found deep fulfillment in transforming ordinary ingredients into something spectacular. He didn’t just cook; he orchestrated meals with the passion of a chef and the joy of someone who knew food could bring people together like nothing else. Scott’s culinary creations were always served with warmth and laughter. Scott’s legacy extends far beyond his recipes. He was a son, a brother, a father, an uncle, and a friend whose kindness, sense of humor, and fearless spirit uplifted everyone he met. In every sunset over the ocean, every perfectly cooked steak, and every shared meal, we will remember Scott—our light. Scott will be remembered for his kindness, fearless courage, loyalty, laughter, and his ability to make people feel at home. Whether through a joke, a late-night conversation, or simply showing up when it mattered most, Scott lived his life with an open heart toward others. He personified the importance of being there—for family, for friends, and even for strangers. His presence was a gift. His absence is profound. His memory will remain a compass for us all. A celebration of Scott’s life will be held on Tuesday, July 8, 2025, at 11 am CST at the West Oaks Funeral Home in Sulphur Springs, Texas. In his honor, the family invites you to take a walk by the ocean, roll down your car windows, play a little Kenny Chesney, and do something kind—just as Scott would have. In honor of Scott’s deep love for animals and his belief in kindness without conditions, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to the ASPCA (American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals). Supporting this cause is a meaningful way to celebrate Scott’s legacy of compassion and his lifelong connection to his beloved dogs, Elway and Juneau.
