<p>Michael A. Calderone of Newark, Delaware, formerly of Havertown, Pa. died peacefully on June 28, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. He was 73 years old. He is the beloved husband and best friend of Mary D. (nee Mack) Calderone for 51 years and the loving father of Michael J. Calderone and Catherine Marie (Najeeb) Rabadi. Mike was the dear Pop Pop of William, Michael, and Mia Rabadi. He is the brother of the Rev. Joseph D. Calderone, O.S.A., and Diane H. (nee Calderone) Allman. Mike is also survived by aunts, uncles, sisters in law, cousins, nieces, nephews, and dear friends.</p><p>Mike was born in Bryn Mawr, Pa. on December 1, 1951, to Joseph A. and Sarah Jane (nee Giangiulio) Calderone. He was a 1970 graduate of Monsignor Bonner High School in Drexel Hill, Pa. Michael spent over twenty years as a heavy machine operating engineer with Sam Giangiulio Excavating. He was also a mechanic and manager of the garage at Meenan Oil Company in Upper Darby where he retired after 25 years of combined service.</p><p>After his retirement, Mike immediately began working again in the construction industry in St. Louis, MO, where he was affectionally known as “cheesesteak”. Upon moving back East to Delaware, Mike continued working for Glendale Excavating in South Jersey and with Gargiule Construction in Darby.</p><p>Mike will always be remembered as a hardworking and loyal man who would do anything he could to help anyone he encountered. He loved working on cars and fixing things including his grandkids’ go karts.</p><p>Relatives and friends are invited to his visitation on Monday, July 7, 2025, from 9:15 am to 10:50 am and to his Mass of Christian Burial following at 11 am, all in St. Denis Church 2401 St. Denis Lane Havertown, Pa. 19083. The interment will take place immediately following Mass in St. Denis Cemetery.</p><p>In lieu of flowers an offering in Mike Calderone’s name to either St. Denis Church 2401 St. Denis Lane Havertown, PA 19083 or to The Fr.
