<p>In Loving Memory of Erlinda E. Mitra</p><p><br></p><p>November 10, 1948 – June 28, 2025</p><p><br></p><p><br></p><p>Erlinda E. Mitra, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on June 28, 2025, at the age of 76. Born on November 10, 1948, in Manila, Philippines, Erlinda—affectionately known as “Lynda” to many—lived a life full of love, resilience, and unwavering devotion to her family.</p><p><br></p><p>In 1971, Lynda courageously immigrated to the United States in pursuit of the American dream. In 1976, she married the love of her life, Rodelio S. Mitra. Together, they built a beautiful life rooted in love, hard work, and family. Their joy grew with the birth of their son, Brian R. Mitra.</p><p><br></p><p>Lynda dedicated her professional life to healthcare, working as a skilled and compassionate Medical Technologist at Eastern Medical Labs, South Oaks Hospital and Northwell Health. Her work ethic and kindness left a lasting impression on colleagues and patients alike.</p><p><br></p><p>Beyond her career, Lynda found her greatest joy in the company of her loved ones. She cherished traveling (especially to AC), sharing meals and laughter with friends and family, and most of all, caring for her precious granddaughter and being Lola to Emersyn Rose—her “apo” and pride and joy. Her love for Emi was boundless, and the bond they shared was a testament to Lynda’s nurturing spirit.</p><p><br></p><p>Lynda is survived by her devoted husband, Rodelio; her loving son, Brian, and daughter-in-law, Jacquelyn; and her adored granddaughter, Emersyn Rose. She also leaves behind her dear sister, Rosie Tañedo, and brother, Feliciano Esoy, along with many cherished nieces, nephews, in-laws, and friends who will miss her deeply.</p><p><br></p><p>Lynda’s warmth, strength, and selfless love touched everyone who knew her. Her legacy lives on in the hearts of those she loved and who loved her in return. She will be forever missed and lovingly remembered.</p><p><br></p><p>In lui of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Northwell Health Cancer Institute. In memory of Erlinda E. Mitra.</p>
