<p>Lodi resident, Greg Wesley Rice, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, June 9 at the age of 62 after battling cancer. He was born May 17, 1963, to parents, Betty and Gene Rice and was the oldest of two children.</p><p><br></p><p>Greg attended Lincoln High School and Delta Junior College. Greg worked as a golf pro for Swensen Golf Course for many years in his younger years. Most recently, he worked for RNDC as a sales representative for wine and spirits and held this position for 17 years.</p><p><br></p><p>Greg was an avid duck hunter and fisherman. He spent many summers in Montana and loved traveling with his wife and dogs in their RV. He loved entertaining and cooking for his family. He put a lot of time and hard work into his garden and renovating his home that he shared with his wife, Susan and dogs, who were like his children.</p><p><br></p><p>Greg is preceded in death by his parents, Betty and Gene Rice. He is survived by his devoted wife, Susan Rice, his brother, Alan Rice, stepchildren Matt (Alys), Mitchell (Kristin), Courtney (Isac), 11 grandchildren and many cousins.</p><p><br></p><p>A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, July 11th at 11am at Lodi Funeral Home, 725 South Fairmont Avenue Lodi, CA 95240</p><p><br></p><p>In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Greg’s name to the American Cancer Society or the charity of your choice.</p>May 17, 1963 - June 9, 202505/17/196306/09/2025
