<p>Tommie Gene Quinn of Johnstown, NY (formerly from Coloma, MI) passed away peacefully on June 8, 2025, in Amsterdam, NY.</p><p><br></p><p>Tommie was born in Trumann, Arkansas on November 11, 1937, the sixth son of Eury and Ruby (Hammons) Quinn.</p><p><br></p><p>While living in Coloma, he worked in agriculture, developing a love for gardening and all things outdoors. He later moved to New York where he lived in Amsterdam and worked for Coleco, and as groundskeeper for Antlers Golf Course. After working his day job, he also took care of many lawns in and around the Amsterdam area. In recent years he moved to Johnstown, NY to be near his loving family. Tommie enjoyed planting and caring for his annual flower gardens and playing card games, especially Cribbage. He loved watching westerns and game shows on tv, but mostly he loved his family and would call and check on his daughters every day.</p><p><br></p><p>Tommie is survived by: Cheryl Healy of St. Petersburg, FL, Donna (James) Munchow, Benton Harbor, MI, Juanita (Darrell) Dilts of South Haven, MI, and Pam (David Gilbo of Johnstown, NY. He is also survived by grandsons: Jason Wolford of Benton Harbor, MI, Dalon Wolford (Dennis Murphy) of Cleveland, OH, Russell Gilbo, Anthony (Trish) Busseno of Johnstown, NY, James (Lauren Snyder) Munchow of Grand Rapids, MI and Jeffery (Kathleen Oshinski) Munchow of Chicago, IL. Tommie is also survived by four great-grandsons: Jason, Coda, Dominic and Avi.</p><p><br></p><p>He was preceded in death by his parents, Eury and Ruby Quinn, brothers, Arlie, Stanford, Dee, Huey, Norman, Eury Jr., and Charles, by daughters Terry Wolford Hare, Sandra Quinn Trainer, granddaughter Eliza Trainer, son-in-law Michael Healy, beloved wife Neva Quinn and his special furry-companion, Sabrina.</p><p>A remembrance ceremony will be determined by the family at a later date.</p><p><br></p><p>Memorial contributions in Tommie's memory may be made to the Fulton County Regional SPCA 117 West Fulton Street Gloversville, New York 12078 (https://fcrspca.org/donate/)</p><p><br></p><p>Arrangements have been entrusted to the Barter &amp; Donnan Funeral Home, 1 N.
