<p>Edwin J. Buchanan, 82, of Barnegat, NJ passed on Thursday, June 5, 2025 peacefully at home. Born in Jersey City, NJ to his late parents, Ed and Marcella Buchanan, he was formerly of Staten Island, NY, where he raised his family. </p><p>Edwin was a United States Army Veteran as well as a member of the American Legion Post 232, Barnegat. </p><p>Surviving is his beloved wife of 60 years, Marie; two loving daughters, Nancy and husband, Rich Rankin and Tracy and husband, Artie Schmitt; five cherished grandchildren, Ryan and Brady Rankin, Ashley, Olivia and Aidan Schmitt; many loving nieces and nephews. </p><p>He is predeceased by three sisters, Sally Buchanan, Mel Silletti and Elaine Adamkiewicz. </p><p>Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 8, 2025 from 12 to 4 PM at Barnegat Funeral Home, 841 West Bay Ave., Barnegat, NJ.&nbsp;Mass offered Monday, 12:30 PM followed by Military Honors at St. Mary's Church, Barnegat.
