<p><br></p><p><br></p><p>Donald Wayne Shipman, son of the late Omas J. Shipman and Lucille Wilma Veach Shipman, was born in Lawrence, Kansas on December 30, 1944 and departed this life at Landmark Hospital in Cape Girardeau, Missouri on May 9, 2025 at the age of 80.</p><p><br></p><p>Mr. Shipman loved farming. He attended New Hope Baptist Church in Peace Valley, Missouri.</p><p><br></p><p>Survivors include three daughters, Cindy Thomas &amp; husband Todd, Carrie Byers &amp; husband John, all of Kennett, Missouri and Christi Todd &amp; husband Shannon of Poplar Bluff, Missouri; by three brothers, Steve Shipman &amp; wife Linda, O.J. Shipman Jr. &amp; wife Teresa, all of Blue Springs, Missouri and Ronnie Shipman &amp; wife Vickie of Jackson, Missouri; by three sisters, Joyce Conner of Waynesville, Missouri, Carol Beam of Dexter, Missouri and Wilma Wright &amp; husband Richard of Dexter, Missouri; by seven grandchildren, Conner Davis &amp; husband Cody, Camille Thomas, Colin Byers, Chas Byers, Caroline Byers, Christian Todd and Carson Todd; by two great-grandchildren, Cross Davis and Collier Davis; also by other relatives and friends.</p><p><br></p><p>He was preceded in death other than by his parents, by one half-brother, Othel Jewel Shipman; also by two half-sisters, Oma Jean Wandvik and Nola Mae Lockhart.</p><p><br></p><p>Friends may call at Mathis Funeral Home in Bernie on Wednesday, May 14, 2025 from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM. Funeral services will then be conducted at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, May 14, 2025 in the Mathis Funeral Chapel, in Bernie, with Pastor Cody Morgeson officiating. Interment will be at Shipman Cemetery in Peace Valley, Missouri at 2:30 PM Wednesday, May 14, 2025. Mathis Funeral Home of Bernie is assisting with all arrangements.</p><p><br></p>
