<p>Susan Hill Moore, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on April 22, 2025, in Denver, Colorado. Born on January 15, 1942, in Denver to Bernice M. Waterman and Arthur L. Hill, Susan lived a life full of love, learning, and service.</p><p><br></p><p></p><p>Susan graduated from Kent High School in Denver and pursued higher education at Pine Manor Junior College, spending a year studying in Paris. She later graduated from the University of Colorado and earned her master's degree in French from Middlebury College. Susan started her career teaching high school French at Thomas Jefferson High School in Denver, where she inspired many students with her passion for language and culture.</p><p><br></p><p></p><p>An active member of the Junior League of Denver, Susan also volunteered at St. John's Cathedral, serving as the choir mother and assisting with the music program. Her commitment to community service was evident in all she did.</p><p><br></p><p></p><p>Susan worked for 23 years at Denver International Airport, where she cherished the relationships she built with her colleagues.</p><p><br></p><p></p><p>She is survived by her devoted husband of 57 years, Lonny J. Moore; daughter Emily and her husband Kevin, along with their children Colin and Riley, of Seattle, WA; son Adam and his wife Hà, along with their son John, of Denver, CO. Susan was predeceased by her brother Gaynor Miller and sister Catherine Hill Loth. Her calm demeanor and generosity made her a favorite aunt to many.</p><p><br></p><p></p><p>Susan's favorite hobbies included skiing, music, and art. She treasured spending quality time at the family cabin in the mountains of Colorado. She met the love of her life, Lonny, on the ski slopes of Vail, Colorado, in 1964, and they were married at St. John's Cathedral in Denver on June 15, 1968.</p><p>All who knew Susan remember her for her smile, sweet nature, easy laugh, and kind, accepting spirit. Her memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.</p><p><br></p><p></p><p>A service and celebration of Susan's life will be planned for a later date. Donations can be made to St. John's Cathedral.</p>
