Barbara Ann Franco

Barbara Ann Franco, a woman of love, kindness, and laughter, passed away peacefully in her home in Odessa, Texas, on April 26, 2025, at the age of 60. Born on July 20, 1964, in Colorado City, Texas, Barbara's life was a testament to the power of kindness, selflessness, and the enduring strength of familial bonds.

Barbara, affectionately known by those who loved her, was the cherished daughter of Juanita and Refugio Franco. She grew up in a lively household with her siblings Debora Rangel-Franco, Veronica Franco, Cecilia (Isaiah Brito) Chavez, Ray (Sandra) Franco, and Louis Franco, all of whom will continue to honor her memory. Barbara's life was further enriched by the love and companionship of her sons, Michael Garza, Gabriel (Nicolle) Garza, and Leonardo (Anna) Garza, who were her pride and joy. Her grandchildren, Gabriel, Isaiah, Leonardo, Ezekiel, and Elijah, were the lights of her life, and she adored them with every fiber of her being.

Barbara's presence was a comfort and a source of happiness to everyone around her. Her love for life was contagious, and she could often be found dancing to her favorite songs with the volume turned up high. Barbara's passion for cooking was more than a hobby; it was her way of expressing love and care for her family and friends. The kitchen was her sanctuary, a place where she created not just meals, but memories that would be cherished forever.

Her role as a mother was one she embraced with her whole heart. Barbara's kind heart and loving ways were evident in every aspect of her life, but none more so than in her interactions with her children. When she became a grandmother, Barbara's world was transformed once again, as she poured her love and energy into her grandchildren, who became her greatest source of joy.

Barbara's legacy is one of love and selflessness. She was the embodiment of kindness, always putting others before herself and going out of her way to ensure the happiness of those she cared for. Her absence will be deeply felt by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Barbara is survived by her loving parents, siblings, children, and grandchildren, who will miss her more than words can express. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Josefa and Jose Franco; her maternal grandparents, Felipa Bonilla and Juan Lujan; and her older sister, Barbara A. Franco.

Barbara Ann Franco will be remembered not just for the love she gave, but also for the way she inspired others to give love in return.

A life so beautifully lived deserves to be beautifully remembered, join us for a Visitation for Barbara Ann Franco that will begin 1pm-5pm, Saturday, May 3, 2025 at Acres West Funeral Chapel.

Arrangements are entrusted to Acres West Funeral Chapel and condolences may be sent online to the family at acreswestfuneral.com.
