<p>Lavonne Winger, 65, passed away surrounded by her loved ones in Madison under the care of amazing staff at St. Mary’s Hospital on Friday, 4/18/2025. She was born on 2/23/1960 in Stoughton, WI. The daughter of Fred and Carolyn (McNamer) Winger. She attended Evansville schools and graduated in 1978.</p><p>Lavonne retired from Kuhn manufacturing after working for many years as a driver for UPS and FedEx. She will be especially remembered for being very generous, creative, a master crafter, woodworker and a card shark. She had a great sense of humor. She wasn’t afraid of anything or any challenge.</p><p>Lavonne is survived by her daughter Emily Hassan, granddaughter Penelope Schult, mother Carolyn Winger, sister Leone (Bill) Draeger, brother Fred (Wendy) Winger, aunts and uncle, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, her special dog Kevin and many dear friends. She was preceded in death by her father Fred Winger, maternal and paternal Grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins. A visitation and chance to share memories of Lavonne will be held at Ward-Hurtley Funeral Home in Evansville on Friday 5/9/2025 from 5pm-7:30pm.</p><p>Please come as you are, casual and comfortable, just like Lavonne would have wanted.</p><p>In lieu of flowers please consider monetary gifts to help the family offset the cost of funeral expenses.
