<p>Deborah “Deb” Spangler, 72, of Strattanville, died Tuesday, April 15, 2025 at her daughter’s home following an illness. </p><p>Born January 16, 1953 in Clarion, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Bessie Adams McGuire. </p><p>She was a 1971 graduate of Redbank Valley High School and of Kittanning Beauty School where she obtained a license in Cosmetology. </p><p>On May 20, 1984 in Clarion,&nbsp;she married Richard Spangler. He&nbsp;preceded her in death. </p><p>Prior to her retirement in January 2015, she had been employed in the custodial department at Clarion Area High School. </p><p>Her favorite pastime was spoiling her grandson. </p><p>Her survivors include her daughter, Amanda (Brandon) Schott; her stepson, Jake Spangler;&nbsp;her grandson, Logan Schott; her step grandson, Evan Hulings; her sister, Marlene (Neal) Cole; her brothers-in-law, Robert Spangler, Eugene Spangler and Jim (Ann) Spangler; her sister-in-law, Sandy (John) Reed; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.&nbsp; </p><p>Those preceding her in death in addition to her parents and husband are her brother, Clair “Peck” McGuire; and her sisters, Deloris Hollenbaugh, Joanne Hollenbaugh, Linda Bailey and Molly Tanner. </p><p>Her family will receive friends on Thursday, April 17, &nbsp;2025 from 2-4PM at Furlong Funeral Home, 50 Broad St., Summerville, PA. </p><p>&nbsp;A funeral service will immediately follow&nbsp;at 4PM with Pastor Carol Brown, officiating. </p><p>Her family suggests memorial donation be made in Deb’s memory to Clarion Cancer Center or Clarion-Forest V.N.A. </p><p>Friends and family may order flowers, leave online condolences, light a memorial candle, share a memory and obtain additional information by visiting www.furlongfuneralhome.com.&nbsp; </p><p>&nbsp; </p>
