<p>Marjorie Pauline “Polly” Hyde, 92, of Paragould, passed from this life on April 11, 2025, at Belle Meade Nursing Home in Paragould, Arkansas.</p><p><br></p><p>Polly was born on November 24, 1932, in Newport, Arkansas to Alfred and Mamie (Scudder) Leland, where she was the valedictorian of Class of ’50 of Newport High School. She worked as an Executive Secretary at the Draft Board in Newport. Polly was a Medical Assistant to Dr. Jacob Williams for many years. She was an avid student of the Bible and a faithful member of Village Creek Church of Christ. Polly had the most giving and generous spirit and was always there to lend a helping hand. Polly was known for her coconut cakes and sugar cookies. She was more than extremely loved and will be dearly missed by all who knew her.</p><p><br></p><p>In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Frank Hyde Jr.; and brothers, Lesley Leland, Dillon Leland and George Leland.</p><p><br></p><p>Polly is survived by her dear friend, Dick Hefner; nieces, Suzanne King of Paragould, and Pamela Leland (Steve) Graham of Newport; great nephew, Trey (Heather) Graham of Newport; great great nieces and nephews, Anistyn Graham, and Jackson Graham.</p><p><br></p><p>Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 16, 2025, at 10:00 AM at Mitchell Funeral Home with Sean Sullivan officiating. Burial will follow in Greene County Memorial Gardens. Honored to serve as pallbearers will be Mardy Holmes, Kurt Benson, Mooney Starr, Luke Cook, and Kenny Kuenzel. Honorary pallbearers will be Dick Hefner, Steve Hefner, Jim McDonald, Neil King, Steve Ewart, Tim Coy, Dick Mitchell, and Joe Wessell. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, April 15, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Mitchell Funeral Home.&nbsp;</p><p><br></p><p>Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.mitchellfuneralhomes.com.</p><p><br></p>
