David Nelson Wollam
<p>David Nelson Wollam, 86, of Valley City died peacefully at this home on Tuesday, April 8, 2025. </p><p>David was born in East Liverpool, OH on August 21, 1938 to the late Earl and Alice (Pierce) Wollam and graduated from East Liverpool High School in 1956 when he was known by his nickname “Humma”. He served in the U.S. Army, then worked as an electrician at General Motors in Parma, OH until his retirement. </p><p>David loved taking care of his home and family. He could often be found mowing grass, cutting down a tree, or working in his vegetable garden. When he was younger, he loved playing softball and golf, camping, walking the beach and fishing in Canada. </p><p>David is survived by three children: Debra Wollam of Seville, OH, Jon (wife Tracy) Wollam of Leesburg, VA and Tami (husband Louis) Salzano, of Trumbull, CT; four grandchildren: Micah Wollam, Noah Wollam, Sadie Salzano and Drew Salzano. </p><p>Following David’s request, a private family funeral and burial will be held at Crest Haven Memorial Gardens in New Waterford, OH, where he will rejoin his wife Ruth (Keller) Wollam of 54 years who died in 2021. </p><p>Bauer Funeral Home, Valley City had the honor of serving the Wollam family. </p>August 21, 1938 - April 8, 202508/21/193804/08/2025
