<p>Joseph M. Cutter, 78, of Zephyrhills, Florida, passed away peacefully on March 18, 2025, in Dade City, Florida. Born on February 10, 1947, in Pittsfield, Massachusetts, Joe was the son of the late Vernard C. Cutter and Mildred Marshall Cutter Hines.</p><p><br></p><p>A true “jack of all trades,” Joe dedicated his life to a variety of careers and pursuits. Over the years, he worked as an auto mechanic, an apprentice on power grids in the Berkshires and Vermont, owned a small engine repair shop in Indianapolis, Indiana, and was a tractor-trailer driver for companies including Mayflower and PIE. He also served as a mobile CAT scan technician for Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis and later as a heavy equipment instructor for Sunbelt Rentals.</p><p><br></p><p>Joe proudly served his country in the United States Air Force from 1964 to 1968, where he was stationed as an Air Freight Specialist, a role that fueled his love of travel and aviation.</p><p><br></p><p>Joe’s life journey took him from Granby, Connecticut, to Southwick, Massachusetts, and Indianapolis, Indiana, before he ultimately settled in Zephyrhills, Florida, where he enjoyed his later years. A natural problem-solver with a talent for tinkering, Joe had a passion for working on cars, motorcycles, and small engines. He took pride in home improvement projects and found joy in traveling, boating, fishing, and airplanes. He was a fan of country music, Western movies, and competitive darts, and he never passed up the chance to share a laugh, a story, or a clever one-liner.</p><p><br></p><p>Joe will be remembered for his warmth, versatility, quick wit, and adventurous spirit. He leaves behind his beloved wife, Lynda Jaynes Cutter of Zephyrhills, Florida; his daughters, Corina Roy and her husband James and Cynthia Labrie and her husband David; his stepchildren, Robert Jaynes, Mark Jaynes, and Shannon Bryant; and his cherished grandchildren, Jack, Camrin, and Skylar. He is also survived by eight step-grandchildren and ten step-great-grandchildren. Joe was preceded in death by both his parents and his brothers, Robert Carrol Cutter and Carrol “Carl” Cutter.</p><p><br></p><p>A graveside service with military honors will later be held on Friday, April 18, 12 Noon, at Granby Cemetery, North Granby Road, Granby, Connecticut.</p><p><br></p><p>In lieu of flowers, the family invites donations in Joe’s memory to a charity of your choice.</p><p><br></p><p><br></p><p><br></p><p><br></p>
