With heavy hearts and profound love, we announce the passing of Leonard Joseph James Rajkowski, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, and dear friend. Leonard, 66, of Conowingo, MD, peacefully left this world on March 7, 2025, surrounded by the warmth and love of his family. Born on August 11, 1958, in Philadelphia, PA, Leonard was a beacon of kindness, humor, and wisdom to all who knew him. A proud graduate of Temple University, he dedicated his professional career to the field of electrical engineering at Stone & Webster and PSEG, where his knowledge and commitment left a lasting impact. Above all, Leonard's heart belonged to his family. He was a loving husband to his cherished wife, Ruth Rajkowski, and a proud father to his daughters, Michelle Hummel (fiancé Robert Gramlich), Katherine Worst (Brendon), and Jessica Rajkowski (Luke Johnson). His greatest joy was being a grandfather to Tyler and Owen Hummel, Oliver and Madison Worst, and Raymond, Benjamin, and Maxwell Johnson, who adored him beyond measure. Leonard's love extended to his mother, Barbara Rajkowski, and his siblings: Leon Rajkowski, Joanne Spiewak, Mark Rajkowski, Jean Challenger, Nancy Farley, Joseph Rajkowski, Thomas Rajkowski, and Edward Rajkowski. He is now reunited in eternal peace with his father, Leon Rajkowski, and his beloved sisters, Mary Rose Rajkowski and Maryanne Rajkowski. Those who knew Leonard will remember his generous spirit, quick wit, and passion for life. He found joy in playing the guitar, working with his hands through woodworking, and tending to his farm. He had a deep appreciation for photography and treasured the moments spent capturing life's beauty. More than anything, he loved traveling with his wife and family, creating memories that will live on in their hearts forever. Family and friends are invited to honor Leonard's life at a public visitation on March 22, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Zellman Funeral Home, P.A. 927 Pulaski Highway, Havre De Grace, MD 21078, followed by a funeral service at 12:00 PM, and a celebration of life beginning at 2 pm at his family home. His immediate family will travel with him to his final resting place at 3301 West Cheltenham Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19150 on Monday, March 24th. Though our hearts ache in his absence, we find comfort in the love Leonard shared so freely and the countless ways he enriched our lives. His laughter, kindness, and unwavering love will remain with us always. Leonard will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
