<p>Rita Marie Robertson, age 76, of Yorkville IL, passed away at her home and went to be with her Savior, Jesus Christ, on Thursday, March 6th, 2025. She was born May 11th, 1948 in Iowa City, IA, the daughter of John and Genevieve (McGill) Miller.</p><p><br></p><p>Rita was united in marriage on October 26th, 1964 in Monona, Iowa to the late Stanley Robertson and spent the next 40 happy years together. Rita retired from the Lucent Technologies Montgomery Works plant in 1995. She was co-owner with her late daughter, Deborah Walker, of Bridgeberry Twigs gift shop for 10 years in Yorkville, IL. Rita enjoyed working most recently at Bristol Grade School, serving the children meals and seeing all their smiling faces. Her passions were gardening, interior design, conversing with her prayer sisters, walking her dog Sherman, and spending time with her loved ones.</p><p><br></p><p>She is survived by her daughter, Linda (Wayne) Casper of Yorkville, IL; her 4 grandchildren, Rachel(Mark) Erickson of Batavia, IL, Stephanie(Gordon) McElhone of Sandwich IL, Jacob Casper of Oswego IL and Jonah(Maggie) Walker of Aurora, IL; her 7 great-grandchildren, Joseph Casper, Liam Erickson, Levi, Owen, and Wyatt McElhone, Dawson and Kayce Walker; her sister, Janice Becwar; and several nieces. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, co-worker and friend who will be deeply missed by all.</p><p><br></p><p>She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Genevieve Miller, her husband, Stanley Robertson, her daughter, Deborah Walker; also her brother, Dennis Miller.</p><p><br></p><p>A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, March 12, 2025 at the Nelson Funeral Home, 1617 North Bridge Street, Yorkville, IL.
