It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend. Lawrence "Larry" Robert Williams, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, February 23, 2025. Larry was predeceased by his parents, Robert and Marion Williams and sister, Beverly Hayes. He is survived by his wife, Donna Williams; a daughter, Terri Williams (Angie Cooke); stepchildren, Jeffrey Boggess (Wanda Allison), Shannon Elrod, and Jonathan Boggess (Christina Stults); grandchildren, Courtney Radel (Russell), Lauren Stephens (Caleb), Zachary Boggess, and Emily Marquez (Hector); great-grandchildren, Piper Stephens, John Paul Boggess, Emilio Marquez, Crosby Radel, Hollis Stephens, Luca Marquez, and Nayeli Marquez; a brother, Michael Williams (Terri); and a sister, Nancy Wojnicki (Bob). He is also survived by his life-long best friend, Mark Choquette and beloved dogs, Rocky and Tippy. A quiet and humble man, he lived a life marked by his unwavering love for his family, his selfless generosity, and his passion for the simple joys of life. Larry "Poppa" was a man of few words but immense action. His hands were always busy, whether it was working around the house, lending a hand to anyone in need, or taking care of his beloved wife of 36 years, Donna, and their precious dogs. He taught his family the value of hard work, patience, and kindness through his own example. A devoted father and grandfather, he cherished the time spent with his loved ones, often sharing his wisdom and quiet strength. His love extended beyond family to his beloved pets, who were always by his side. His home was a reflection of the many memories he created with those he held dear. Through his dedication to family, hard work, and helping others, Larry "Poppa" leaves behind a legacy that will never be forgotten. His spirit lives on in the lives of those he touched, the lessons he imparted, and the love he gave so freely. Visitation will be held from 12:30 p.m. until 1:45 p.m. on Friday, March 14, 2025, at Thomas McAfee Funeral Homes, Downtown. A funeral service will immediately follow at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel.
