<p>Carol Evelyn Arnold (88) passed away on February 8, 2025, leaving</p><p>her family heartbroken.</p><p><br></p><p>Carol was the daughter of Miriam (Goodwin) Taylor and Jack Taylor,</p><p>born on December 19, 1936 in Everett, MA. Her childhood was spent</p><p>in Stoneham, MA until she began attending Sanborn Seminary in</p><p>Kingston, NH in 1950, where she met her future husband Clint. She</p><p>graduated with the Class of 1954.</p><p><br></p><p>Carol married Clinton Arnold Jr in 1954 and their marriage endured for</p><p>seventy years. They resided in Danville, NH, first on Colby Road, and</p><p>then for over sixty years on Pine Street, where they raised a family.</p><p><br></p><p>Carol’s working years began at State Street Bank in Boston, MA.</p><p>Following that she was a switchboard operator at Nichols Poultry</p><p>Farm in Kingston, NH. She worked as an Avon Lady while her children</p><p>were growing up. Carol then worked at AT&amp;T in North Andover, MA for</p><p>twenty-five years, both as a keypunch operator and a clerk in the</p><p>maintenance department. She also assisted with the family business,</p><p>Arnolds Auctions, for many years.</p><p><br></p><p>Following retirement she enjoyed winters in the Port Richey, FL area</p><p>with Clint.</p><p><br></p><p>The Sanborn Seminary Alumni Association was fortunate to have</p><p>Carol as their Chairman for over thirty years.</p><p><br></p><p>One of Carol’s loves was family vacations up and down the East</p><p>Coast and in Canada. The early years were spent camping, including</p><p>trips with the WE Valley Camping Club.</p><p><br></p><p>Her favorite foods included anything lemon-flavored, French onion</p><p>soup, tall piles of whipped cream and Lorna Doon cookies. She</p><p>strongly disliked coconut.</p><p><br></p><p>She was known for her baked bean recipe, which was passed down</p><p>from her mother. The recipe was published in the Telephone Pioneers</p><p>of America Cookbook of the Futures.</p><p><br></p><p>Carol was happiest when surrounded by her family at frequent</p><p>birthday and holiday gatherings where there was always an</p><p>abundance of laughter and storytelling.</p><p><br></p><p>Carol loved to read, especially biographies and true stories. Yard</p><p>sales were another passion that she shared with Clint. Lilacs were her</p><p>favorite flower and she loved feeding the birds, always on the look-out</p><p>for hummingbirds and the elusive pileated woodpecker that would visit</p><p>occasionally.</p><p><br></p><p>For many years Carol recorded unusual street names in a glovebox</p><p>notebook during travels throughout New England and Florida. This</p><p>has now become a family heirloom.</p><p><br></p><p>Carol is survived by her husband, Clinton Arnold Jr.; her children</p><p>Judith Arnold, Thomas Arnold, and Sharon Reynolds (Ron); her</p><p>grandchildren Michael Reynolds (Liza), Brian Arnold, Marissa Arnold,</p><p>and Jason Reynolds (Robin); and eight great-grandchildren.</p><p><br></p><p>Brewitt Funeral Home, 14 Pine Street, Exeter is assisting the family</p><p>with arrangements.
