Christine L. Lundberg, a spirited and friendly soul, passed away on January 9, 2025, at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston. Born on May 17, 1969, in Cambridge, Christine's zest for life and her unwavering kindness touched the hearts of all who knew her. A graduate of Hopedale High School and UMass - Amherst, Christine went on to forge a successful career as a global licensing manager at the former EMC and Dell Corp., where she worked since 1996. Her dedication and professional excellence were as remarkable as her warm, engaging personality.

Christine's family was the cornerstone of her life. She is survived by her loving children, Hallie R. Malia and her companion Cody Harris of Grafton and Evan S. Malia and his companion Susan Scanlon of Uxbridge; her mother, Elizabeth Flodin of Hopedale and Evan and Hallie’s father, Sean M. Malia; her brother, Gary S. Flodin and his longtime companion Jayme Iarussi of Hopedale; her sister, Gail and her husband John Dugan of Uxbridge; her sister, Karen S. and her husband John Borthwick of Southport, NC; and her cherished granddaughter, Lorelai Malia, who was the light of her life; her father-in-law and mother-in-law, James A. and Donna S. Malia of Bellingham.

Christine was also a beloved member of an extensive family that included many nieces, nephews, cousins, uncles, and aunts. Christine was predeceased by her father, Glen E. Flodin, and her beloved dog, Beetle, who was a constant, loving companion.

Christine's interests were as vibrant and diverse as her personality. She was an avid reader who found solace and excitement in the pages of a good book and enjoyed Yoga. Christine's love for the seaside was evident in her yearly trips to York Beach, Maine, where she basked in the serenity of the ocean with her children by her side. York Beach will forever be in the hearts of Christine and the kids as well as on everyone’s matching tattoo of that special place. Music and live performances were among her joys, with Jimmy Buffet concerts being a particular favorite as well as hiking a new trail in a different States with Evan and Beetle.

Above all, Christine's role as "CeCe" to her granddaughter Lorelai was a source of immeasurable joy. She embraced every moment with Lorelai, sharing laughter, wisdom, and unconditional love. The bond they shared was a testament to Christine's nurturing spirit and her ability to make every family member feel special.

Christine's departure leaves behind a legacy of warmth, generosity, and a life well-lived. Her ability to connect with people and her readiness to offer support are qualities that defined her as much as her professional achievements. She will be dearly missed by all who were fortunate enough to cross paths with her in this life.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, February 22, 2025 at 11 AM in the Hopedale Unitarian Parish, Hopedale Street, Hopedale. Christine’s wishes were for this event to be colorful, where everyone is encouraged to wear whatever they would like. Yellow and blue were specifically her favorite colors.

Memorial donations in memory of Christine may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
