<p>Geraldine Johnson, the oldest of five children, was born August 25, 1947, to Sammie J. and Essie Lee Hudson in Dale County.&nbsp; </p><p>During her formative years, she attended school in Ozark, Alabama. She later found the love of her life, the late Vance Johnson, and moved to Coffee County. The fruits of their union resulted in the birth of four boys: Vance Jr., David, Danny, and Wade.&nbsp; </p><p>In early 1975, Sis. Johnson and the entire family moved from Coffee Springs, Alabama to Enterprise. Shortly after arriving to Enterprise, she and the family joined the Church of Jesus Christ&nbsp; &nbsp;located in Enterprise Alabama. Sister Johnson and her family were all baptized October 24, 1978. During her faithful membership of almost 50 years, she was under the leadership of the late Evangelist Emma Foster, Bishop James Earl Wilson, and Elder William Reese. While there, she served the lord and the members of the church in numerous roles—Usher, Young People’s Department Chair, and Treasurer among many others. Sister Johnson was a professional. During her working years, she worked as a domestic worker for numerous influential families in the Enterprise area. Throughout this time, she was loved by all of those she ever encountered. </p><p>Geraldine was preceded in death by her husband, Vance “Bo” Johnson, her parents, Sammie, and Essie (Mcleod) Hudson, a brother, Sammie Hudson, Jr., a sister, Catherine Stewart, and a&nbsp; brother-in-law, James C. Stewart.&nbsp; </p><p>She leaves to cherish four children: Vance Jr., David, Danny, and Wade (Amanda) Johnson; three sisters, Carrie (Elvin) Handeman and Wanna (Paul) Ware, a brother; Andrew Hudson, six grandchildren; Van Johnson Jr., Marcus Johnson, Cierra Johnson, Tre Bryant, and Keith and Kevin Johnson. 6 great grandchildren; Emerald and Alexandria Bryant, Markia, Karlie, Markell, and Marcus Jr. Johnson. She also has several cousins, nieces, and nephews. She was blessed with several good friends that she loved dearly. </p>
