<p>James E. Taylor</p><p><br></p><p>Age 84, of Oscoda, MI and formerly of Waterford, MI passed away on Saturday, January 18, 2025. He was born on October 18, 1940 in Pontiac, MI to the late William and Dorothy Taylor (Powell). Jim worked as a tool maker for Pontiac Motors for 28 years until his retirement in 1993. He was a member of the Goldwing Road Riders, AuSable Valley Trail Riders and Michigan Jeeps. Jim enjoyed woodworking, pin stripping and building utility trailers. He will be remembered as a jack of all trades and as an unselfish man that took great care of his family. Jim is survived by his wife, Marsha Taylor whom he married on June 6, 1992 in Berkley, MI; 6 children, June (Dave) Raber of Waterford, MI, James K. (Wendy) Taylor of Fowlerville, MI, Jeffrey (Karen) Taylor of Goodrich, MI, Patricia McMinn of Davison, MI, Elizabeth (Pete) Torres of Alden, MI and Jennifer Barnett of Dearborn Heights, MI. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, his brother Donald (Pat) Taylor of North Branch, MI and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Jim was preceded in death by his first wife, Elinor Taylor, brothers, Robert, John, Butch, Junior and Roy and sisters, Mary, Esther and Kay. Private arrangements have been made and his place of interment will be in Ottawa Park in Clarkston, MI. Memorials may be directed to Compassus Hospice, 121 W.
